Nimesh Porbandarwalla is a passionate challenge seeker, problem solver, and brand builder whose career spans multiple start-ups as well as large corporations in diverse industries.
Currently, he is the Sr. Director of Marketing & Strategy for Dr.Comfort where he is responsible for End-to-End Marketing, New Products Introduction & Strategy for Dr.Comfort a business unit of DJO Global. Dr.Comfort is the #1 brand for Diabetic Footwear, Custom Orthotics, Compression, and Diabetic Socks.
Prior to Dr.Comfort, Nimesh spent 8 years at Dell where he held various roles from leading Marketing for the Global Dell Outlet a top 500 e-tailer to program managing a CEO sponsored Dell-wide top 15 initiative to drive attach rate for peripherals, software, services, and financing to being Chief of Staff for the Vice President of Global Supply Chain, which according to Gartner is a top 10 supply chain in the world.
Before Dell, Nimesh worked at two separate software start-ups in the space of PC games protection, identity management, and enabling the secure transfer of medical records. Unfortunately, neither of those start-ups made it big but he learned valuable lessons that he carries with him. He initially started as Software Developer followed by Sr. Sales Engineer and finally as Product Manager for these startups
Nimesh holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from SMU’s Cox School of Business.
Nimesh was born in Mumbai, India. Loves to play Cricket & Soccer. Is an ardent Longhorn fan. He is married to his wonderful wife Farah and has two young sons – Mateen and Maaz.
