How to avoid getting burned when you rent, buy or hire.
A bad experience gave this woman a mission to making E-Commerce safe again. It all started in 2017, whenTammy Sorrento began her online search for the perfect vacation rental in Key West. After finding the perfect price and location of what she thought was a legit vacation rental, her attorney verified the listing and she reserved the Key West rental.
After giving the owner her first deposit through online payment, he contacted her and told her to send it to a different account. This made her very nervous, and told the seller that she would not resend the money. He tried to assure her with contact information of previous renters and references. She then contacted them to hear their opinions, which proved her nervousness to be accurate. The references were appalled that he would give them their information, as they were his past scam victims. She wondered why there wasn’t a company already established that provided online consumers with a verification service guaranteeing them they wouldn’t get burned. Surely, this wasn’t the first and wouldn’t be the last time someone gets scammed online.
Shortly after, Tammy Sorrento launched Fireball Approves, the first of its kind, online identity verification company. Her insurance background of 20 years gives her expertise including but not limited to Litigation, Investigation, Mediation, Trials, Commercial and Personal Auto, Compliance, and Training. She’s been active in the Jacksonville Claim’s Association for many years and recently has joined the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce.
Since the launch, Fireball Approves has been featured on local news, multiple newspaper and online publication articles, podcast and radio stations! Free introductory promotions are currently offered and are continually growing their range of products. They are partnered with NCBeachRent.com as well, and continue to educate online consumers of their services.
