February 26th, 2025, 10:00 am PT / Category: Interviews

The core principles of Revenue Management haven’t changed, but the needs of modern Revenue Management teams certainly have. How does our technology need to evolve in order to keep up and adequately support them?

In this episode of dojo.live, we sit down with Tess McGoldrick, SVP of Travel & Hospitality at Revenue Analytics, to explore what today’s Revenue Management teams really need—something “classic, with a twist.” Tess unpacks the timeless principles that still drive results, like inventory optimization and yield management, while spotlighting the seismic shifts happening on the people side of the equation. With Revenue Managers now overseeing dozens of properties remotely and spending less than 15 minutes per day in their RMS, the conversation turns to how automation, data complexity, and changing expectations are reshaping the role itself. From barriers to onboarding new properties to navigating commercial “turf wars,” Tess shares practical strategies and data-backed insights for adapting to the future of revenue strategy—one that blends tradition with modern creativity, operational scalability, and a dash of retail flair.
