Joyce Wu is the founder of Cluck (Roomlet, Inc). According to a recent survey by a large apartment finding website, 43% of renters have run into suspicious looking listings, and 6% of them have lost money to these scams, that’s 2.6 million households in the US.

Cluck’s mission is to bring clarity to the apartment search process, we focus on helping renters avoid scams and find legitimate listings where they’re looking most, on Craigslist.

Joyce is an ex-Microsoft software development engineer and Zillow dev-manager with a B.S.E and M.S.E in Computer Science from the University of Michigan. She started working on Cluck last year after coming to the surprising conclusion that the biggest pain point in a subletting marketplace was scams.
